VBS Project 4: Envelope Fish Puppets
For our final VBS craft project, we created fish puppets. The project was based on the story of Jesus fishing with the disciples. Of the four projects, this one granted the kids the most creative freedom. And I think that may have been why it was their favorite. At least they said it was their favorite. Granted they were still working on the puppets when I asked.
Even though I created a series of photo directions, Jubilee is doing a great job of preparing to invert her fold/mouth. See where her hand is?
While they worked, I walked around a showed them pictures of different fishes. That seemed to help inspire them. We ended up a wide variety in our class.
Here is a picture of a cat fish and hammerhead.
Would this be an angel fish or a kissing fish?
Check out the fringe work on this fish tail!
This one said something funny.
It was a strong finish to craft time for VBS. I had a great time with the kids. They never cease to amaze me. So much fun.
