surviving without the internet
Today is such a beautiful day. Spring is here and it’s my birthday. Plus, I finally feel like my life is back in order. I have not posted a new blog entry recently because I have not had high-speed internet access in almost two weeks, as of today. When I got home last night, the internet was finally working. Let me just call it a comtastrophy. I hope that I never have to call Comcast again. I felt like I was trapped in a time warp. I had no idea how to go on without being able to constantly check each of my three email accounts, work on one of numerous web pages, nor blog. How devastating. I finally eased the dull headache of the last two weeks by getting out from behind my desk and exploring.
Instead of spending time behind my computer,
I went out to see the elephants parade into town;
went on a photo safari with Amy (Good form, Amy!);
helped second graders from University Park Elementary School learn how to make pop-up books with Carol Barton; and caught up on Netflix and watched two crazy alternate endings for Watcher in the Woods from 1980. Of course, all of these will be their own blog topic once I catch up on my to do list.

happy b-day cousin. hope to see you soon. we should drive up to DC. when are you free?
