Oliver at One Month

Oliver is one month old today. Just like last month, it is a rainy dreary day with some kind of funky front moving through Greensboro.

We went to the doctor for his one month checkup. He weighs 8 lbs 15.5 oz. Woo-hoo! He is 21.5 inches long and his head is 15 inches in diameter. Other than a little baby acne, Oliver has no issues at this time. His latch problem is totally resolved as confirmed by his rapid weight gain.

Eris and Cama came over to play this afternoon and then we spontaneously decided to go to dinner at Asahi. Just as quickly, I decided to take Oliver’s picture right before we left.

Here comes sister!

When people ask, I tell them that Lucy loves his brother, but she is a little rough. Like jumping on the bed with him, as captured here.

Eris told me that she reminds her of a labrador retriever puppy that has no idea about her size or weight when jumping on someone. I hope that Oliver doesn’t end up with the same fear of Lucy that she has of dogs. Granted if he keeps growing at this rate, he will catch up with her pretty fast.
