Lucky Lucy
Seriously, who has time to blog when every day is this gorgeous! But this little luck from yesterday needed to be documented.
We headed out to the National Arboretum for a picnic. We watched the koi slowly swim around in the water and a grandparent ignore the signs to NOT feed the fish. After lunch we headed up to the Capitol Columns only to discover a Lucy bag with eighty-five cents inside.
Then we spent sometime rubbing the text from around the closed fountain. She hasn’t quite got the hang of it yet.
Sarah and I spent a lot of time doing this as children. We loved Germanton’s graveyards! It was really hard for me to resist visiting the Methodist Church’s graveyard while within site at the meeting a few weeks ago. Perhaps that’s where I developed my love for typography and why my art work leans a little morbid.
