Frolic to Mount Vernon
Yesterday we decided to take the car out for a drive somewhere. We hadn’t used it in almost a week. Plus it was GORGEOUS!
Returning home from our most recent visit has been especially hard for me. We loved being able to walk outside to play almost anytime we want. For the first time in my life, I want a yard. So our the father of our country’s yard seemed like the next best thing. Off to Mount Vernon.
Mo Rocca was in the gift shop. Henry spotted him and his Twitter feed confirmed he was visiting. But we were still in the car as Lucy finished her nap.
I really wanted to visit a pumpkin patch and pick some apples. We found a small pumpkin patch in the seed garden. But it took us ages to get there. Lucy spent most of the time picking up rocks.
I took a picture of this hen while I waited.
Then she spied some sheep.
We finally made it… only to head straight for the cabbage patch.
They are quite lovely.
Thanks, George!

I am glad to see Baby Lucy capturing her country roots!
