Dispensing Applesauce

Dispensing Applesauce

Two tablespoons at a time. Lucy goes in spurts on her favorite foods. She loved applesauce for a while. Then hated it. Then loved it. Then hated it. So I had a large jar of local fuji applesauce open in the fridge. I have had it mold on me before, so I decided I better start eating it. Plus it is delicious. And organic. Would Lucy eat any? Who knew. So I dispensed a little in this unused Advil cup. I let her play with it today since we use a giant syringe. And once she got over the cold feeling, she ate a few servings of applesauce along with her favorite lunch seen here. Lucy also helped me prepare lunch while standing on our kitchen stool. Great call, because lately if we don’t eat prior to noon, she has an epic meltdown and won’t eat at all. I first experienced this while packing for our flight last week. Today it was ten ’til twelve so we needed to act fast. Here is the super simple salad. One can of drained chickpeas
One jar of tuna filets in olive oil (from Whole foods)
One diced avocado
A splash of olive oil
A little pinch of salt and pepper
And a teeny amount of shallot

I noticed a few weeks ago, the raw shallot made a red mark on her chin. So I try not to add too many. They are mainly for me. Yum. Food allergy update: Lucy has been all clear since the stomach flus. I guess that helped rid her system of whatever was bothering her chin. Let’s hope it lasts.
