a week full of wonders

We are back from our week-long New England vacation. It was so great! With the aid of Gellie, a Magellan 4040 and our favorite new addition to our family, we easily navigated our way from DC to Jersey City, NYC, Mystic, Newport, Providence, Boston, Portsmouth and Portland.

While in Boston, I spotted the new Charley Harper book on my way out of the The Institue of Contemporary Art gift shop. Weighing in at a heaping 11 pounds, it was locked up behind glass. So I made a quick note and it was one of the first things I looked up this evening after unpacking.

A quick web search revealed a short essay by Todd Oldham, who also wrote the introduction to the new book of his life’s work. Check it out. A great treasure to explore. It looks like Harper’s art work might bring back some childhood memories.
