This week’s project is a burning bush pop-up book. The large book opens up to reveal a green, living bush blazing with tufts of shimmering orange, red and yellow fabric. The chocolate brown cover is embossed with God’s command to Moses, “take off your shoes.” He pointed out to Moses that he was walking on holy ground. We have also placed a collection of shoes around the altar, which we will donate to a local charity to help service the needs of others.
