Week 1
I created the paper doll this summer while studying book arts at Penland School of Craft in the North Carolina Mountains. She taught us how to make a more precise accordion fold. In the midst of the process, I realized a simple twist could create a doll-like figure.
Representing Leah, she stands veiled and waiting for Jacob on her wedding day, which was deceitfully arranged by her father.
