The stomach flu lingered around for a while and we both got really dehydrated. So yesterday we finally loaded up and headed to Georgetown. We both received an IV in the ER. Lucy had three quarters of a bag and I had one. She was like a new baby once we returned home for dinner. We picked up a rotisserie chicken on the way home since it was so late. We gave her some of the chicken and made pasta. She kept tapping her plate and saying eat for more chicken. She immediately started her old ways of turning her hands and gibbering. Bath time was a breeze and she was full of kisses. Amazing!
After a month of whining and a week of inactivity, I totally value the importance of hydration. I am obsessed with water. And I feel like a brand new person. My exhaustion hasn’t been from the almost three years (counting pregnancy) of waking up. But from chronically being dehydrated. I’m calling the new me Caroline 2.0.
