What to do
This past Saturday I spent some time at the studio waiting for my image transfers to dry. It was my first free time at the studio in what felt like years, I mean, months. Lately I feel like I just head to the studio to eat lunch, which I did on Saturday, as well.
After I finished eating, I cleaned up the studio. I took out the trash and recycling, returned the trash cans to the floor instead of all of the table tops, and finally cleared off my desk. It looked great! Then I realized that I need a way to get myself motivated when I have a little busy body close by. So I created a little reminder board of my current projects. They are taped on the side of my shelf right next to my seat.
The top row includes bigger art projects. The bottom is a list of editions I want to create or some art practice, like the book origami.
It was a super simple solution with items I had on hand. I used the colored pencils and washi tape Henry gave me for Christmas. Plus I used the strips of accounting paper I had already cut for my Abacus project. VoilĂ . Once the rain passes, I hope to return and get to work. Maybe Lucy will be motivated by the clean space, as well.
