We’ve come a long way, baby!
I spent most of last week in North Carolina working on two of NECTAC’s annual publications. On Saturday I went to Elkin to visit Eris and have another meeting about Merritt Studios. The weather was incredible and all of the trees were in bloom. Elkin looked like a little picture book town. Such a welcome change from the cold weather I had faced earlier in the week.
After lots of planning, Eris and I went with Robert to visit the old EVA warehouse to see the space. While there, I was shocked by the size of the computer that stored all of their data, seen above. This thing was the size of a small vending machine! The printer, which was sitting on the other side of the room, was at least two-thirds this size, as well. Talk about the advancement of technology! I was lucky enough to finally have bought a laptop that actually weighs less than five pounds that fits in my purse. This computer wouldn’t even fit into my car. How much do you think this thing weighs? Crazy…
Anyway, I am back from my trip and have lots of catching up to do on my blog. Stay tuned…
