The Backstroke

Oliver had his four-month checkup this morning. Everything is going great. He is right on track for being a great little boy. Once again, he was really into the paper.

We didn’t discuss a lot because I had been to visit the doctor the previous two weeks for semi-ridiculous things. I thought he had acid reflux; the doctor suggested colic. Nope. He hates his car seat, which IS improving. So I am going to stop saying that. Last week, He had a heat rash, which I thought was a dairy intolerance by the second day. Thankfully it was not!

His percentiles have jumped and slightly shifted since two months.

At four months:
your child is 15.5 pounds, and that is
at the 50th percentile for weight.
your child is 25.5 inches, and that is
at the 58th percentile for height.

At 2 months:
your child is 11.75 pounds, and that is
at the 32th percentile for weight.
your child is 22.5 inches, and that is
at the 15th percentile for height.

Wow! That’s quite a change. Still not quite tall and skinny, but he is evening out.
