Shannon and Will Tie the Knot!

This weekend, Shannon and Will got married. I was honored to be the matron of honor. That meant I was up (very) close and personal with them in the sweet little church in the middle of Tanglewood Park in Winston-Salem.

Other than the fact that it rained all day, it was the perfect weekend. The only downside to the rain is that pretty much all of the photos were limited to the church. But it was a beautiful simple space and the floral arrangements were spectacular. Simplicity at its best.

There were a couple of upsides to the rain… according to legend, Shannon and Will are due to have a life filled with money. And the second, they had a beautiful rainbow overhead as the sun finally poked through during the reception.

So congratulations to Shannon and Will! I wish that I had enough energy to hop on the party train during the reception. But I enjoyed making up faux wedding guests and their haikus as part of the homework assignment. Plus I helped make the whole thing official!
