Seven Deadly Sins

Seven Deadly Sins

Lent is upon us and I believe this is my fifth anniversary of coming up with art projects for church. Today, Amy had a request for the colors associated with the seven deadly sins. Here they are from my 2006 journal:

Green with envy
Seething red with anger
Gold digging and greed
Orange for gluttony (Too many Doritos?)
Teal for lust
Purple for pride
Light blue for sloth

The only color I could remember was teal for lust. I have a large square floor pillow, which I placed on the altar with matching linens. My mother-in-law was in town and made a comment to Henry about the laundry on the altar. Ha! Good times. Hope this helps for any of you still searching for what to give up for Lent. Mine was saying no to new projects in hopes of working on older ones. So far, I’ve only said no once and I’ve done nothing on my old projects. I have cleaned out a couple of spaces on my list. I hope that counts.

Um, it’s no fair that mine was the project to which you said “No.”
