Saturday was our first day talking the leaves. My goal was just to get a big chunk of them up without being perfect. Our tree is still green. There will be plenty more opportunities to bag leaves over the next several months. But the leaves are so much lighter to deal with now than when we bagged thirty bags at the begging of the summer and another ten in August.
Lucy was a big help. We made a pile for her to jump in, but she mainly stood there and jumped up and down. I don’t think she gets it yet. Or we haven’t gotten the full brunt of the leaves.
But nineteen bags for our first round is not too shabby. I told someone once, we didn’t buy a house, we bought a giant tree.
