Miss Kitty, ring me on my celly
There’s a lot of excitement in our household today with the announcement of the new iPhone. My phone, which is an original version, has been so ricketly lately. I was checking MacRumors with a frequency not seen around our apartment since the new MacBook Pro launch. Okay, maybe not that frequently. Since mid-April, my phone has been crashing or dead about sixty percent of the day. I’ve signed up for the ordering instructions e-alert, so I plan to have one in my hands soon after the release date on June 24. And since Dad has been obsessed with Skype ever since he downloaded it for a conference call to Kenya last week (calling us from work as soon as we log on to the computer, to the point we’ve started screening his calls [sorry, Henry]), maybe video calling for the Armijo family is just weeks away.
Unsurprisingly, Lucy seems to have inherited (or learned) a similar love of technology. The good news is that while she enjoys talking to both sets of grandparents via speakerphone, she likes her pink Fisher Price flip phone she got for her birthday even more. She can get calls from kitties, doggies, and even a little mouse. It’s also much more stylish (and sturdy) than either of our phones.
But she still loves the old classics too – especially when Dad lets her get out EVERY SINGLE BLOCK (unlike Mom).
