Lucy’s First Easter Egg Hunt

I was very sad this past week that Lucy would not be spending her first Easter with her cousins. We have a long tradition of hunting Easter eggs after Sunday lunch. Over the last few years, we have been going to Karen’s house. I knew that she would love being with Cama, Lilly and Connor yesterday. I asked Henry what grass would she possibly be able to hunt in?

No fear, we didn’t need grass. After church, we had a huge church-wide brunch, followed by a well-coordinated Easter egg dying contest and Easter egg hunt. Thanks to Katie, Jere and Andrew for coordinating this. (I hope I am thanking the right people.)

Now, what am I looking for?

All we needed to do was point her in the right direction and she figured out that you are supposed to pick up the purple thing in the corner.

According to an impromptu photo session later that afternoon, Lucy doesn’t really know what to think about grass anyway.

She had a great time at church and was totally passed out within two minutes of putting her in her stroller.
