Innovative Invitations & Beyond

This weekend I was a TA for the Wedding Invites and More workshop at Paper Source in Georgetown. I was not as excited about this workshop as the Locco for Gocco workshop I assisted with last week. But it was so amazing. First, Katie McDonough is a fabulous instructor. She had so many projects planned for the three hours. Most of the attendants were brides-to-be. Since I have been married for almost five years now, I thought that I wouldn’t get that much out of the workshop. But I was totally wrong. We made a couple of little books, invitations with pockets, nametags and place cards. It was fabulous. I had so many ideas of projects that I could do based on what I had learned. When I left, I felt so happy and excited. After three hours of playing with paper, I felt like I was floating. I know that sounds a little crazy, but I don’t think that I am alone.
