Happy Birthday, Brother!

Today is Alex’s birthday.

I photographed these pictures the last time I visited Grandma. The first is of Grandma holding us on her lap, while somehow managing to keep her coffee cup balanced. The second captures the sweetest face of Alex. He is holding the Polaroid from just a few minutes before. The magic of technology. Now it seems like every child that age expects to immediately see their picture on the back of the camera. How refreshing to see such a great image of childhood surprise.

It’s hard to believe that just last year, we were celebrating his big 3-0 with Meredith. And since then, Alex became a godfather. Congrats to Meredith and Nevin with their early Christmas gift, baby Weston.
