Celebrating with Sushi
Today Lucy was tested with a panel of common allergies. She was allergy-free with the exception of a 1+ for kitty cats. Considering her dad is probably a 4+ for cats, Lucy is unlikely to have a cat anytime soon. Woohoo! What a huge relief! We had already been eating dairy after discovering ice cream this summer and cheese pizza this fall. We have been avoiding soy for the last year. Now I have no idea how I’ll convince her to eat scrambled eggs. All I can say is those million months of breastfeeding totally paid off. I was incredibly sick with allergies most of my childhood. By her age, I had already had tubes placed in my ears. She has never had a single ear infection. I was so happy to report to the doctor that she was symptom free and to know that she is starting off a lot healthier than I did. Me, on the other hand, well, I went ahead and signed up for a test in mid-November. My asthma and allergies have bothered me for the first time in twenty years. Maybe those seven years of urban living opened me up to tree pollen once again. My allergies are not that bad, but I could definitely use an energy boost. Maybe the test will reveal the source of my drag.
