Are you sure this is my seat?
We are in Florida for what maybe our shortest trip home ever. We left this morning after a two-hour delay and will be returning tomorrow night. Why would we go so far in such a short amount of time? In case you haven’t heard, Paul the German octopus has picked Spain, the motherland, to win it all. The World Cup that is. And long ago, we promised that we would be here for the semi-finals. We made it. And it’s much cooler here than it has been in DC this week. Even better news for me, I have my new iPhone! It is pretty fab. But I’m most excited that it actually rings and that it hasn’t crashed when I try to use. The simple fact that it functions is amazing. I was startled to hear it ring while we ate a little suckling pig an hour ago. I made a few videos of Lucy cruising around the Kogod Courtyard yesterday. I believe that is our new favorite place. My goal is to figure out how to post one before tomorrow when the action really starts. Right now we are avoiding our afternoon nap, watching the third place World Cup game and hoping to catch the end of a birthday party. Who could sleep with the roar of those South African horns in the background, anyway? Brief, but good times.
