a few more favorite songs

Lucy and I are off to NC this morning. The last time I was home, I purchased a couple of forgotten favorites from iTunes.

First, “You Should Hear How She Talks About You” by Melissa Manchester. There was a big buzz about everyone meeting Lucy for the first time at Mom’s cookout. So I sang this to Lucy all week before we left for July 4th. You have to love the recording directly off of Solid Gold reruns. I’m sure I was sitting there watching this in the original airing.

And this creative video of a 45 RPM playing Kenny Roger’s “Love Will Turn You Around.” Thanks to Eastbound and Down creator/North Carolina native, Jody Hill, who reminded me of this song. The show has been renewed for a second season. I guess Danny McBride must have turned down the offer from the Pensacola Pelicans.
