Our Deprived Little Girl

As our family and close friends know, the Armijos have not exactly been early adopters on the TV front. Our last TV, a 13-inch tube Sony sarcastically referred to by some as the Jumbotron, was so old that the movers didn’t even want it. (The cleaning company guy’s daughter passed too; she said she had a flatscreen in her room.) And we have yet to furnish the new house with a TV just yet – as is clear by this video, taken today at Grandpa, Grandma and Uncle’s office. In it, Lucy makes clear what she’s hoping for for Christmas. Mid-July is a little early for a Santa letter, but when you know what you want, I guess there’s no reason to wait.

The last bit about “the truth” is from her near-perfect rendition of Virginia’s letter to the New York Sun from Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. You can hear that here, via Henry’s SoundCloud stream:
